About Forest Faerie
I feel like I was a forest faerie in a past life, or maybe it's who I am in spirit. Not a Tinkerbell "fairy," but a young faerie spirit with an old soul, deeply connected with nature. Like the old sprites and pixies of the forest, of the trees, mushrooms, and natural springs. I imagine them riding on the backs of toads and chipmunks, cheering on butterflies as they emerge from their cocoons, sitting under toadstools in the rain, and generally playing, protecting, and nurturing the forest and all beings in it. This is what I mean by magic.
Nature is magic. Growth is magic, in all forms. A small seed sprouting into a plant that produces a beautiful flower or fruit, a different seed growing in a womb and becoming the most precious little life, or a broken feeling person growing into a vibrant, joyful, and whole feeling person.
It was hard for me to pick a name for my website, my "brand" because I am always growing, evolving, changing. What if the name I chose didn't fit in a year, ten years? I wanted to create something solid, something that could grow and evolve, like a forest. My foundation and the passions I always come back to are healing and nature. The ocean was my first love, but my heart has been drawn to the forest. The peace and belonging I feel there is palpable. The interconnectedness of it all is awe-inspiring, and pure magic.
I find these two passions, nature and healing, tend to have a lot of crossover. Nature has helped me heal in personal and indescribable ways. It's been vital to me becoming who I am today.
I think by building a deeper connection with Mother Nature, by reconnecting with her, we can heal both ourselves and the planet.
Welcome to forest faerie, a foundational space for my seeds of creation to grow, evolve, and flourish. It's a reflection of my energy. Its roots have been growing through years of my own personal development journey. And like tree roots, they require nourishment and growth to stay alive, they flourish with change, and they grow through periods of rest and reflection. I'm sure this space will grow and evolve through all of the seasons of nature.
